LITHA BLESSINGS

Here we are at Midsummer, we have arrived at the longest day and the shortest night of the year... June 21st. Today we celebrate the festival of Litha or as it is more commonly known, the Summer Solstice.

This is the peak of the solar year and the sun is at the height of its life-giving power. The world all around us, nature, is awash with fertility and fulfillment and this is a time of joy and celebration, of expansiveness and the celebration of achievements.

Yet within these celebrations is the whisper and promise of a return to the darkAs the light reaches its peak so this is also the moment when the power of the sun begins to wane. From now on the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer and we are drawn back into the dark to complete the Wheel of the Year... from today, the Wheel begins to turn towards Lammas.

In folklore, Litha signals the end of the Oak King's as he too this to his brother twin, the Holly King, and the descent into the dark begins.

How can I relate to Litha in today's world? Litha is a wonderful time to celebrate our personal goals. Take sometime today to reflect on your achievements this year. Give thanks for all that has come your way, celebrate the victories and give thanks for the lessons that you have learned. Check in with your goals, look at how far you are come and think about where you want to be and who you want to be... make a plan and remember that you have to put in the work for you to reap the rewards.

Celebrate this great day with our Litha candle from our Wheel of the Year Collection. A heady blend of
