What is patchouli?

Q: What is patchouli?
A: We love seeing the reaction of the visitors to our stall when they sample our Geranium Rose & Patchouli Hand Cream. Patchouli is an aromatic flowering plant of the mint family. The leaves of the plant are the source of essential oil that is used as a fragrance in perfumes, cosmetics, and incense. We use a steam-distilled essential oil that has woody, spicy and musky notes. When it comes to aromatherapy, Patchouli is said to be balancing and calming.
From a skincare perspective, patchouli is said to be beneficial to dry, cracked skin. It is also said to aid relaxation and ease anxiety.
Our Geranium Rose & Patchouli blend is available as a hand cream, candle, soap, and room spray. We also use patchouli in our new Yorkshire Heather Hand Cream as well as in our Rejuvenating Facial Oil.
